Leaving Mallaig on Friday evening after a fish supper.
Sunshine, follwing wind and the tide with me made for a slightly bumpy but fast paddle into Loch Nevis
A quick stop on the beach on the S side of Loch Nevis where I disturbed a badger who took off up the hill and into cover.
The view down Loch Nevis
The Inverie monument at the west end of Inverie bay

Saturday morning was damp and misty but with almost no wind
A bit of beach art from Longbeach
A good wildlife count with badgers, deer, otters, wild goats, eagles and this Barrel Jellyfish
Saturday got wetter and wetter as the day went on. Having met up with the rest of the group, who had paddled Loch Morar on Thursday and portaged across to Loch Nevis on Friday we all returned to Inverie to spend the night.
After a tour of the bay we headed ashore at Longbeach. Tents were pitched in the rain and we headed in to Inverie and the Old Forge Inn for a beer or two and a good feed
Saturday night into Sunday stayed very wet with a couple of inches of rain in the cockpits in the morning. With Gale 8 forecast for later on Sunday we made an early start to get out of Loch Nevis before the worst of the storm hit.
Boats packed, we headed out into the rain and a steadily increasing westerly to make our way back to Mallaig.
